Once Again with Feeling!

I have all good intentions to get this blog up and running but will probably change some formats in the process, so hang with me for a bit. Meanwhile, that road is being heavily paved...

First of all, this is a gathering of some of my family recently.  We, like you, have been feeling isolated from each other for far too long, so we decided to have lunch together.  It felt soooo good to have hugs and laughter and fill my eyes with the sight of my "peeps" at last!  Eldest son is far left.  His son is next to him.  Then comes his daughters, with me smack dab in the middle and happy happy happy!

I thought I'd show you some UFO's that were finished in time to donate them to my guild's Bingo night.  This one was started about five years ago, and I had all good intentions to do the whole series.  But life intervened and I needed the stimulation of newer projects, so it got put aside in a basket of other almost orphan blocks.  Meanwhile, that road grew longer (the one paved with good intentions).

This sweet mystery row quilt was started two years ago.  I used lots of pretty batiks and finished it the same week I did the one above.  A sudden urge just struck, and I thought I'd better go with it.  You never know when it might come again!

I am an eclectic quilter.  I like lots of different patterns and a huge variety of fabrics.  This quilt also went to Bingo night.  All that had to be done on it was to quilt and bind it.  Two days later, it was ready to vie for a new home.

One of the funnest quilts I send to Bingo was this whimsical "neighborhood".  I hope someone at Bingo got this for his or her child, because it's so bright and happy.

Kaleidoscope quilts are always enchanting. You never know what you're going to get -- kinda like a box of chocolates!  The scene on the fabric-of-origin was a southwest motif with cacti and desert flowers.  I don't know if this one went to Bingo or to one of the guild charities.

This will be the last one for today.  A simple zig zag pattern made this baby quilt notable.  My guild has a freebie table, and I rescued some pale yellow floral fabric and paired it with my favorite color, lavender, for a nice contrast, sewed it up, quilted it, and sent a fresh new look on its way to a new owner.

That's all for today.  I'm working on some projects which I will share with you another day.  Meanwhile, keep well, everyone, and have a happy day!
